Update: I thought those plastic flue brushes were junk, but one saved me an hour on a tight job in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati's old chimneys are basically designed to make you hate your life. Of course the cheap plastic thing is the hero in that story.

Yeah, those old chimneys are awful, but a metal chimney liner saved me.

Not sure I totally agree, @thomas_johnson35. Those plastic brushes actually surprised me too on a few jobs, they're way tougher than they look when you're just trying to get through a quick clean. Figured they'd snap on the first bend, but they held up fine and saved me time for sure.
