I finally figured out my mockups looked fake because I kept tilting my laptop screen
For 2 years I pasted client logos onto generic phone templates at a weird 15 degree angle and wondered why nobody approved them. Last month a guy named Derek at a print shop in Tulsa asked why all my screenshots leaned like the phone was sliding off a table, and it hit me, I was copying the angle from my own tilted monitor. Now I present flat straight-on screens and sign-offs happen way faster. Anyone else build a whole style around a mistake they didn't know they were making?
