Vent: the print shop in Spokane quoted me $180 to fix my file, then charged $40 to just do it
Dropped off a client's 24x36 poster to a shop on Division last week and the guy spent 5 minutes poking at my exported PDF, then handed me a $180 quote to "rebuild the art" himself. I asked why, and he pointed at one flattened layer and a missing font. Took me 20 minutes in the parking lot to outline the text and re-save it, and they printed it for $40 with no fuss. How often does a printer try to charge you for a fix you could do yourself in the car?
