A barista in Portland made me reconsider how I take client feedback
I was venting to this barista at Extracto on Division about a client who kept saying my logo felt "off" with zero specifics. She said she gets the same thing with coffee, people say it's "too bitter" but they mean the temperature, not the taste. That hit different because I realized vague feedback is usually a translation problem, they're describing the feeling not the fix. Now I ask clients to point at 3 things they'd change out loud before they send me a message, cuts down the guessing game by a lot. Has anyone else found a trick for getting past the wishy washy comments?
