Back in the day a client just wanted a nice logo, now one guy in Phoenix sent me a 19 page brand questionnaire
I was going through some old files from around 2011 and found a project folder for a bakery job that had like three emails in it. The whole ask was basically "make us something warm and simple, here's $600." Fast forward to a couple months ago and a guy in Phoenix sends me a 19 page PDF questionnaire before we even talk price. Wanted to know the brand's "emotional temperature" and what its spirit animal would be. I spent an entire Tuesday just reading the thing and filling it out. Took me back to how simple this used to be, honestly. It was a rough one because I liked the project but the paperwork alone killed my week. Do you all just build the questionnaire time into your quote now, or draw a hard line at a certain page count?
