I said 200 loose files was fine until my laptop fan spun up during a client call
Two weeks ago my Downloads folder on this old Dell hit 847 files and I kept telling myself it was fine because I always search by name anyway. Then I was sharing my screen on a Tuesday call with a client in Boise and Spotlight took 40 seconds to find one logo file while everyone watched my desktop. That night I made three folders, drop, working, done, and dumped everything in. Took 20 minutes and my fan has not spun up since. Anyone else put off a cleanup for months over nothing and then feel silly after?
