I thought soft proofing was pointless, then a 40 dollar proof saved my 600 piece brochure run
Last month I sent a 24 page brochure to a shop in Austin and they asked if I wanted a hard proof for 40 bucks. I almost skipped it because the PDF looked fine on my screen. The proof came back and my nice warm gray cover was straight up purple, because I had built the whole thing in RGB and never checked the separations. I reworked the files, paid for a second proof, and it came back clean. Now I want to know, does anyone here proof every job or just the big ones?
