Pro tip: picking rich black over 4 color black saved my banner at the last minute
Last week I had a 6ft vinyl banner due for a client in Austin and the printer asked if I wanted 4 color black or rich black. I picked rich black at 60/40/40/100 and the thing came out deep and solid instead of that muddy gray. A buddy of mine went with 4 color black on the same material and his banner looked washed out by the second day in the sun. Anyone else got a go-to mix for large format, or do you just let the print shop pick?
