That $89 Pantone book from 2018 just cost me a reprint
Grabbed an old spot color guide off eBay thinking PMS numbers never change. Turns out the 2018 version had some outdated values for the new coated stock line, and my whole run came out warmer than the proof. Paid $89 for the book, then $340 for the reprint after the shop flagged it. Anyone else get burned by old fan decks or do you always check the update year?

ugh that sucks. always check the year code on those things now, even the digital ones. i keep a sticky note on my desk with the current revision date so i dont grab the old one by accident.
