Vent: my red logo went orange on 500 pizza boxes

I sent a batch of boxes to a shop in Fresno last Tuesday with my logo saved as RGB, and the red came back straight up orange. The press guy showed me the before-and-after side by side under his lights, and the difference was night and day. My file was set up in a hex color from a web tutorial I saw a while back. What is the easiest way to spot this before it goes to print, a profile toggle or something?
