Bought a "Python for Beginners" course for $180 during a late night ad, and I want my money and my sleep back
I keep seeing those ads with the fake urgency countdown timer, and about 4 months ago at 11pm I finally clicked one. The course promised 12 hours of video and a certificate, so I paid $180 on my credit card thinking it would get me from zero to building apps. What I actually got was a guy reading documentation out loud with a screen recorder that kept lagging, plus 40 minutes of him talking about his morning routine before any code showed up. Lesson 3 was literally "go read the official docs" with a link I could have found myself for free. I quit around lesson 6, then found out the same content is on YouTube from a channel with 2 million views, and it is better explained. The worst part is the refund window closed after 14 days and the support email just bounces. If you are just starting out, please try the free stuff first before you hand anyone your card. Has anyone actually gotten a refund from one of these course sites, or did I just donate $180 to a guy's coffee habit?
