Just realized my old sleep tracker charts were hard for my dad to read

In my experience, I used to pick soft colors for my sleep charts without thinking much about it. Your mileage may vary, but my dad has trouble seeing, and he couldn't read the data at all. Take this with a grain of salt, but I changed to darker blues on white, and it helped him a lot. Looking back, I feel bad for not considering color contrast sooner. It really shows how small choices in design can affect wellness tools for everyone.

That's a really good point about design choices. So much tech just assumes everyone sees colors the same way. It's cool you found a simple fix that actually helped your dad. Makes you wonder how many other apps have that same problem with light colors and low contrast. Good on you for making that change.

I mean, how is it not the default to check if people can actually see your app? Guess we're all just supposed to have perfect vision.
