How my son's Lego set solved our playroom color dilemma.

Borrowing those bright blocks made picking matching colors easy.

Remember painting my office and staring at a blank wall for days... ended up using the colors from an old video game controller as a palette. Mixed this weird mint green with a sort of rusty orange, and it just clicked. Funny how the stuff right in front of you has all the answers sometimes... my wife still says it looks like a sports team threw up in there, but I like it.

Ngl that mint and orange combo actually sounds solid. I did something similar with the colors from a takeout menu once, mixed this deep red with a weird mustard yellow. People always overthink it but honestly the best color schemes are just sitting around your house already. Your wife might think it looks like a sports team but if it feels right when you're in there working, that's all that matters. I've found the weirdest mixes end up being the ones you stick with.
