Shoutout to the client in Phoenix who taught me to build palettes from one photo
Honestly I used to grab random colors I liked and pray they worked together, which led to so many ugly mockups. Now I pull one reference photo, usually a desert sunset I shot near Phoenix, and lock in just 3 colors straight from it before I even open my design tool. It changed my workflow about 4 months ago and my revisions dropped fast. Does anyone else build every palette from a single image, or do you just mess with a color wheel until it looks right?
