A colorblind coworker told me my charts were useless
I work in data analytics and always used red and green together in my dashboards. Last month a coworker named Mike finally told me he couldn't tell which lines were which in my monthly report. He has deuteranopia, so red and green look identical to him. I switched to using blue and orange instead, plus different line styles like dashes and dots. Has anyone else had to redo a whole project because of a simple color choice?

The red and green thing is everywhere, like how I can't tell if my avocado is ripe by looking at the sticker.

The avocado thing reminds me of something that happened last week. I was at the grocery store and this young woman, maybe around @emma_young's age, was staring at the avocados like they were a puzzle. She picked up three different ones and held them up to the light, then squeezed each one gently. Finally she just sighed and tossed one in her cart. I felt bad for her, so I pointed out the little trick where you flick the stem off - if it's green underneath, you're good to go. She looked at me like I'd just handed her the secret to life itself.
