The 500th machine I cleaned last month taught me a hard lesson about dust filters
I keep a tally sheet at the shop, and last month I hit 500 machines cleaned since I started doing it this way. Machine number 500 was a 2016 Dell from a welding shop over in Gary, and when I popped the side panel, the dust filter was packed so solid it looked like felt. I had been telling folks for 3 years that a quick shot of air was enough, but that one machine ran 15 degrees cooler after I actually pulled the filter and washed it. Now I check every filter by hand before I call a job done. Anyone else find out the hard way that a filter swap beats a blowout every time?
