I finally realized the flat earth debate gets derailed because both sides argue about the wrong thing
I got into a long argument with my brother in law over Thanksgiving in Tulsa about flat earth stuff and we both walked away annoyed. It hit me afterwards that the real issue is both sides keep arguing about photos and NASA instead of the actual physics that anyone can test. If you want to win these debates, make them do the math on why the horizon drops 8 inches per mile squared, most people fold right there. Has anyone found a better way to steer the talk away from the same old talking points?
