That cheap contractor log app actually outworked my spreadsheet system
Been tracking jobs on a paper clipboard and Excel for years, but after losing a punch list on a 14-unit apartment remodel near Tacoma, I tried this $3/month app called Buildertrend Lite last month. It flags overdue inspections and sends a notification to my phone, which is basically like having a foreman who never sleeps. The learning curve was rough for my older crew guys, but now I can see a whole site's progress without driving 40 minutes. Anyone else switch from manual tracking to one of these apps, or is it just me who thought spreadsheets were fine until they weren't?
