Am I the only one who thinks designers should hand-code their own icon sets instead of buying them?
Last month at a coffee shop in Austin, a designer I met at a local meetup saw my hand-coded SVG icon set and said point blank, "Why waste 20 hours when you can buy 500 for $19?" Now I'm stuck wondering if that time is better spent on client work instead of pixel pushing, but I keep coming back to the freedom of tweaking every curve exactly how I want it. Where do you all draw the line between building it yourself and buying a pack?
