Load chart said 8,200 lbs, but the load cell said 9,400, and I was already swinging
Two weeks ago I was setting a rooftop AC unit in Bakersfield and the chart said I was fine at 8,200 lbs, but the load cell read 9,400 when I picked it. The load was way lighter than my boom angle suggested, which meant it was way heavier than I thought, so I stopped cold and set it back down in the street. Turns out I had the radius wrong by 4 feet because I was reading the wrong line on the chart. Re-rigged, changed the setup, and picked it clean the second time. What do you all do when the load cell and the chart don't agree? I trust the cell every time now, but I want to know if I'm missing something.
