Old timer called me out for swinging too fast

Guy with 40 years in the seat told me I was bouncing the load every time I rotated. Watched closer and yeah he was right, slowing down the swing speed by like half made everything smoother. Anyone else get roasted by a veteran and change their whole approach?

Used to think speed was everything. That old timer was right though.

Man, tell me about it! I was the same way in my early 20s. Hustled nonstop, thought cutting corners and rushing was how you got ahead. Then this old carpenter I worked with showed me how he'd take his sweet time planing a door to fit perfect. He'd sand and check it three times. I felt like it was a waste of time. But watching that door slide in without a single gap? Changed how I see everything. Speed just means you get to fix your mistakes faster.
