Serious question: is `gap` making us lazy with flexbox, or did we earn it?
Last week I was rebuilding a card grid for a client in Denver and realized I had not written a single margin hack in months, just `gap: 1rem` and done. Back in 2019 I had a whole SASS mixin file just to fake gutters, and now it sits there collecting dust like a spare tire. Half the folks I ask say `gap` killed the need to really understand flexbox spacing, and the other half say no, it just removed the dumb part. Where do you land on this, are we getting weaker at layout or just smarter about it?
