Vent: I avoided grid-template-areas for 2 years because I thought it was cheating | CSS Battle Tactics

I spent forever placing everything with absolute positioning and a pile of negative margins. Then last Tuesday I rebuilt a pricing page with grid-template-areas and the whole thing was 40 lines instead of 200. My coworker in Portland showed me on a call and I felt dumb for not trying it sooner. Now every layout I touch starts with a little ASCII map at the top of the file. Anyone else have a trick they dodged for no good reason?
