Rant: I flipped my client's whole theme from dark to light after one coffee shop test
My client in Boise wanted their site dark only, and I fought for it because I liked how it looked on my desk. Then I sat in a coffee shop near the river with sun hitting my screen and could not read a single menu item on their page. I switched the whole thing to a light default with a dark toggle that same afternoon. Now people actually stay on the site instead of bouncing in 8 seconds. Anyone else had a real world test kill a style choice they loved on their own monitor?
