Spent 2 years using the wrong color profile for my prints
I was sending everything to my local print shop in sRGB because that's what my monitor showed. One day the owner called me and asked if I ever calibrated my screen. He pulled up my last 10 orders on his end and the greens were totally muddy compared to what I saw. Turns out I needed to work in CMYK and soft-proof in Photoshop the whole time. Felt like an idiot but now my flyers actually match what I design. Anyone else make this mistake starting out?
