Warm white bulbs made my whole living room look off for a year

I redid my den last fall, picked this greige paint, nice walnut shelf, all that. But every photo I took looked dingy and yellow. I blamed the paint, almost repainted twice. Then my sister came over and said hey, are those your old kitchen bulbs? I had 5000k LED bulbs I bought in bulk years ago sitting in my nice new brass fixtures. Swapped one to a 2700k soft white last Tuesday and the room instantly looked like the inspo pics. The paint was fine the whole time. Has anyone else matched bulb temp to their paint undertones before picking colors? Or am I the last one to figure this out?
