Just saw a portfolio where every project description started with 'I leveraged...'

Honestly, I was looking at a friend's site from a class in Chicago and counted it 12 times. Tbh, it makes everything sound the same and kinda fake. What's a better, simpler word to use instead?

Is it just me or does calling something 'gently used' sound way better than 'used' but mean the exact same thing? Honestly, I see it all the time on Facebook Marketplace and it cracks me up. People will post a couch with a rip in it and call it 'pre-loved' like that makes the stain disappear. Tbh it's just marketing fluff so we feel less weird about buying someone else's old stuff.
