That client who asked me to 'make it pop' and then rejected every color I tried
Honestly, this happens way too much with beginner designers. I had a client last month who kept asking me to adjust the hero section colors because they didn't 'feel right'. I tried 8 different combos based on a basic 60-30-10 rule from a tutorial I found, but they still said no. It turned out they were viewing the mockups on a phone with a blue light filter on, so everything looked muddy. Has anyone else run into clients with screen settings that messed up their feedback?

Blue light filter, seriously? That's a new one for me, but it makes total sense. Did you actually have to walk them through how to turn that off on their phone, or did you just send screenshots from your calibrated monitor? I always wonder how many of those "make it bolder" requests come from someone looking at a washed-out screen, you know?

Saw a designer on YouTube talking about this exact thing, said they actually started asking clients to send a screenshot of their screen settings before starting color work. Kind of genius honestly, saves everyone time going back and forth on colors that aren't even showing right.
