My simple headboard project accidentally became a block party

I was bored over the weekend and decided to build a headboard. I saw a guide online and figured it might be fun. Went to the hardware store, picked out some pine boards, and got to work in the garage. Now, I'm not great with tools, so I was having trouble with the drill, and that's when Bob from next door came by. He's always working on something, so he offered to help, which was cool, but then he started talking about his past projects, like building a shed with the wrong kind of screws. Anyway, we got the frame done, but when we tried to move it inside, it wouldn't fit through the door. Linda, Bob's wife, heard the noise and came over with drinks, and soon a few more neighbors were there. We ended up taking the door off, which sparked a talk about paint versus stain, and someone fired up a grill. So much for a solo project, but the headboard turned out nice, and I got to know my neighbors better.

Okay, but the real question is what happened after the grill got fired up? Like, did the paint versus stain talk turn into a full on DEBATE with people choosing sides, or did it just fizzle out? I'm dying to know if Bob stuck around to help hang the headboard after all that chaos.
