Packed a thermos with chili today, no more cold sandwiches on break.

But have you ever thought about how much that simple swap can change your whole mood for the afternoon? A cold sandwich just feels like you're refueling a machine, but a hot meal actually feels like a break. It's a small moment of comfort that resets your brain. You're not just eating to stop being hungry, you're giving yourself a little treat in the middle of the grind. That warmth makes you slow down for a minute instead of just shoving food in your face. It's a tiny act of kindness to yourself that pays off all shift.

What if you don't actually want to slow down on your break? Honestly, a hot meal makes a mess and you have to sit there focusing on it the whole time. A sandwich is clean and fast so you can actually relax for a few minutes instead of managing a thermos. Sometimes shoving food in your face quickly is the real treat because it gives you more time to just sit and breathe. Tbh that chili sounds like more work than comfort when you're really tired.

Honestly I tried the thermos thing once and spent half my break trying to get chili stains off my shirt. Sometimes the sandwich is the smarter play.
