Got a repair job that made me question where to draw the line

Recently, a guy brought in a small GPS tracker he wanted installed in his wife's car. He said it was for safety, but the way he acted set off alarms. In my shop, I fix car electronics all the time, but this felt different. Do I help him even if it might be for spying? I ended up turning him down, saying I don't do that kind of work. But now I'm thinking, what if it was legit? How do you guys handle requests that feel wrong? Sometimes this job makes you judge people's motives, and that's a heavy load.

Read a news piece last week about these trackers being used in abuse cases, so your gut was right.
