Just trimmed my 500th hoof this year, which felt like a big deal.

It surprised me because I only track it for my own records, and hitting that number made me realize how much my speed and feel have improved. I'm curious, does anyone else keep a personal count like that, or is it just me?

Hold up, 500 hooves means 125 horses, right? Four hooves each. That's even more impressive. Keeping a count like that is smart, it shows real progress you can see.

Actually, 500 hooves is 125 horses only if each horse got all four done. Could be you did a bunch of front pairs or single trims. Still a huge number though.

Whoa, 500 hooves! That's a whole lot of horse pedicures. I don't count anything that carefully, except maybe how many times I burn my fingers at work. My personal record would just be a list of weird smells I've encountered.
