After my linen sample order, I'm convinced 'green' fashion is just a marketing term.
In my experience, most so-called sustainable materials still have a big environmental cost, so your mileage may vary.

Used to believe linen was the clear winner too. Then I read how much water it takes to process flax versus making recycled polyester. The numbers shocked me - sometimes the "natural" option has a bigger footprint in other areas. Now I just see it as picking which environmental cost you hate less.

Whoa, hold on a second! Recycled polyester still sheds microplastics every single wash, which pollute our water forever. Linen breaks down cleanly at the end of its life. The water use is a real issue, but it's a local impact versus a global plastic problem. We have to look at the whole life cycle, not just one number.

Honestly, was the linen that bad? Like sure, nothing is perfect, but isn't it still way better than a polyester shirt made from oil? Feels like we get stuck on it not being 100% pure and miss the actual improvement.
