inUpdate: I finally gave keyboard shortcuts a real try
Actually, the physical side of it gets overlooked. Sure you work faster, but it also just hurts less after a long day. My hands used to ache from all the clicking and dragging. Now they just kind of know where to go without me staring at the screen. It trades a little mental effort upfront for a lot of physical ease later.

inHow I finally got clean cuts around floor registers
I ruined so many cuts with frayed edges before I learned that same backside trick. That ragged look used to drive me crazy on every job.

inHow I fixed a leaning pine after heavy winds
Years back, I was sure staking trees tightly was the only way to save them after storms. Then I saw a neighbor's pine snap from being too rigid. @walker.thomas mentioning spring storms made me rethink that approach. My own pine now gets loose stakes with rubber ties, letting it sway a bit. That flexibility actually helped it anchor better in the wind last fall. Sometimes letting nature do its thing works out.

inDiscovered that batch cooking on Sundays sets me up for the whole week without breaking the bank.
But is saving eighty bucks even worth all that extra work?

inTried to design a dark theme based on my store's emergency exit signs. Big mistake.
But what if the problem isn't the colors themselves but where you use them? That emergency green on black is super clear for a reason, it grabs your eye instantly. Maybe @foster.ruby is right for most apps, but for a coding terminal or a system monitor, that high-contrast vibe can actually work because you're scanning for details. It just fails for reading lots of text or relaxing. The trick is knowing if your app needs to whisper information or shout specific data points.
