Cold email volume is overrated, I cut it in half and doubled replies

I spent 6 months blasting 200 prospects a day and got maybe 2 replies total. Last quarter I dropped to 50 very targeted emails after digging into their actual pain points on LinkedIn and now I'm booking 4 calls a week. Has anyone else seen better results from going smaller and more personal?
