I let a client pay late for 6 months to keep the peace, and it cost me my two best contractors
I stopped enforcing my net 15 policy with one big client last fall because I was scared of losing them. When their payments slipped to 60+ days, I couldn't make payroll on time twice, and my two best contractors quit for shops that pay same week. Who else has had to choose between keeping a client happy and keeping the team paid?
