Appreciation post: That leftover bacon grease trick for frozen fries
I used to just spritz fries with plain cooking spray, but my sister told me to save the bacon drippings in a jar. A tiny spoonful melted over frozen fries before air frying at 400 for 12 minutes gives them that real diner taste... Has anyone else found a weird leftover ingredient that works better than the fancy stuff?

Half teaspoon is the sweet spot, learned that one the hard way too.

oh careful with that spoonful lol bacon grease is way stronger than people think, you really only need like a half teaspoon or it gets overpowering. i learned that the hard way when my fries tasted like i was chewing on a bacon strip.

Huh, I don't know if I buy that @rowanp15. I've dumped like a whole tablespoon in my eggs before and they were fine. Maybe your bacon was just extra greasy or something.
