My air fryer basket took 40 minutes to clean, not 5 like everyone says

I kept seeing posts about how air fryers are so easy to clean, just a quick wipe and you're done. Tried that after making some honey garlic chicken last Tuesday and the sauce baked right onto the mesh. Ended up soaking it in hot soapy water for 20 minutes, then scrubbing with a brush for another 15, and even then I had to use a toothpick for the corners. Am I the only one who thinks the cleaning hype is way off, or do people just cook drier stuff than me?
