Shoutout to the diner in Springfield that changed my mind about frozen fries

I was at the Sunrise Diner last weekend and saw them pull a huge batch of perfect, crispy fries from a commercial air fryer. They told me they use the frozen kind and just add a tablespoon of cornstarch before cooking. Has anyone tried that trick at home?

Honestly, my old car doors used to squeak like crazy. Tried the cornstarch thing on the rubber seals and hinges, just dusted it on with a makeup brush. Worked way better than any silicone spray I bought.

Okay @grant_torres, I need the full details. Is he using it for cooking, like to thicken a sauce, or is this some life hack thing? My cousin uses it to stop squeaky floorboards.
