inMy cousin told me to skip the switchbacks on a trail in Colorado and go straight up
Totally... those folks put in serious work to make things flow right. It's easy to just ride a trail without seeing the planning behind every turn and feature. They know the dirt, the drainage, and how a line should feel when you're moving fast. Second-guessing their layout usually just leads to a worse experience for everyone.

inI tried using a 48 hour silent retreat for a branding project and the client hated it.
More noise" is funny, but I used to think that way too. This post actually changed my mind because sometimes the quiet idea is right but just for a different client. It's a good reminder that not every audience wants the same thing.

inPro tip: I hit 1000 hours in my design software and it showed me a real problem
Totally get what you mean about that trap! I used to believe polishing every little pixel first was the right way to work. Seeing that tracked time really shows how those "just five minutes" add up to a whole lost morning. The timer idea is actually genius, gonna steal that for sure. It forces you to look at the bigger picture before you get stuck on a single button forever.

inI was at the MRO facility in Dallas and saw a crew using a new diagnostic tablet I'd never seen before, which got me thinking about whether we're moving too fast with unproven tech in the cockpit.
You ever see a plane grounded just because a tablet died? I mean, they still have all the old manuals as backup, right?

inSpent 6 hours chasing a phantom voltage drop on a G1000 system
Those hidden breaks inside a harness are the worst. Hours of your life gone, all for a tiny crack.
