Tried air frying frozen dumplings straight from the bag and got a sad surprise
I tossed a whole bag of frozen pork dumplings into my air fryer at 375 for 10 minutes without any oil or water, thinking they would crisp up like potstickers. What I got was a tray of hard, chewy shells with cold middles, and 6 of them stuck to the basket so bad I had to soak it. Turns out the trick is a quick spray of oil and a splash of water in the bottom, then cover with foil for the first half. Has anyone figured out a timing that actually gets them crispy on the outside and hot all the way through?
