Update: Tried air fryer wings last night and they were a soggy mess.

Always thought air fryers were foolproof. Had the same soggy mess happen with chicken tenders last week. The batter just slid right off. Figured out you really need to pat the meat dry first, and preheat the thing. Total game changer for getting that crisp skin. Felt pretty dumb for not doing that from the start.

Foolproof until you realize it's just a tiny angry oven that hates moisture. Your batter sliding off sounds like a failed science project. Mine came out looking like sad steamed wings wearing a wet sock. Turns out the thing has more rules than my last apartment lease.
