I finally learned why my old comic book guy gave me that look

Hard disagree actually. A fancy paper stock is exactly what a scammer would use to make their junk look legit. They love that heavy textured card stock with the deckled edges because it screams "I spent money on this, therefore it must be real." The real dead giveaway is usually something super boring like a weird punctuation or a logo that's slightly off center. Professional companies screw up the cheap stuff all the time, not the expensive details. They'd use bargain bin copy paper before they'd bother with the premium stuff. Honestly I've seen more official documents printed on the cheapest junk imaginable than I have on anything nice. So yeah, I wouldn't trust a piece of paper just because it feels fancy. That's practically waving a red flag at this point.

Shoutout to the artist who proved me wrong about AI art tools

My own art projects usually stop at the "rough AI sketch" phase and then I just give up - $200 seems like a lot of work on top of the computer magic.

I spent 2 years skipping the OP and ED of every anime until my buddy called me out

the lyrics spelled out all the character motivations" - yeah that hit me hard too lol. When I finally stopped skipping, I realized so many shows literally spoil their own plots in the songs if you pay attention, but it feels different when you catch it naturally vs just reading a summary online. What worked for me was making a rule: let the OP play at least once per binge session, especially if it's a new season. It's wild how much extra meaning those sequences gain once you connect the lyrics to what actually happens later in the episode.

Wasted $200 on a premium template bundle and regretted it instantly

Two hundred bucks for templates that can't even handle a basic color change? That is absolutely insane. I would have been on the phone with my credit card company the same day demanding a chargeback. Stuff like that makes me wonder if these "pro" sellers even test their own products before shoving them out the door. Honestly, you got scammed by some really expensive junk.
