Spent a full shift chasing a flap rigging issue, turned out to be a $4 part
Had a 737 in Boise with the flaps off by half an inch on one side. We swapped actuators, checked cables, even pulled the gear handle twice thinking it was a rigging issue. Turns out a little bushing in the carriage was worn out, took 20 minutes to replace once we finally found it. Anyone else wasted a whole day on a cheap part like that?

That bushing looked fine from the outside? We had a similar deal with a door latch microswitch, drove us nuts for six hours before someone jiggled it with a screwdriver and the light flickered. Was there any play in it you could feel by hand or did it only show up under load? Just curious how you finally spotted it, since those little things hide so well.
