Customer told me my wire runs looked 'unprofessional' and I had to rethink everything
I had a customer a while back who worked in IT and he pointed out how my wires were all zip-tied but not organized by zone or panel. He said it made troubleshooting a pain if something ever went wrong. Now I label every cable at both ends and keep them separated by voltage. Has anyone else had a customer teach them something about their own work?

So did you actually change how you run wires after that, or did you just start labeling them and call it a day? Curious if you totally reorganized your setup or just added the labels as a bandaid.

Yeah but the thing is, I feel like just slapping labels on is only half the battle if you don't actually change the way you group things. Like, were you running all your low voltage and line voltage stuff in the same bundle before? Because that's the kind of thing that makes an IT guy cringe, and labels won't fix a tangled mess of mixed voltages. So did you actually go back and re-run any of those old bundles to separate them out, or was the labeling more about looking organized for the next time he looked at it? I'm really curious how deep you went with the fix.
