The one episode pacing debate that finally made me rewatch everything

I was at a watch party in Portland last month and someone argued filler arcs are just breathing room, not dead weight, and it got me to go back through 3 shows I dropped early. Has anyone else gone back after a fresh take like that and actually changed their mind on a whole series?
