TIL the solution to my leaky faucet was sitting in a $3 parts bin the whole time
I spent 3 weekends trying to fix a slow drip with YouTube videos and pipe wrenches before a plumber buddy stopped by and swapped a little rubber washer in about 30 seconds, so has anyone else ever fought a simple fix for way longer than it deserved?

Oh man, a worn out rubber washer gets me every time. Always check the cheap stuff first before busting out the heavy tools.

totally agree with @betty_shah now, but I used to be the guy grabbing a pipe wrench before even looking at the little rubber pieces. that $3 fix taught me a lesson about doing the simple stuff first, for sure.
