My handwriting went from chicken scratch to readable after 20 minutes of practice a day for 3 weeks
I always had terrible handwriting, like teachers would actually comment on it in red pen bad. Back in January I started writing in a plain notebook for 20 minutes every night at my kitchen table in Fresno, nothing fancy, just copying paragraphs out of a book slowly and trying to keep the letters the same height. The first week my hand cramped so bad I almost quit. But by week three I could see the difference on the page, my letters stopped leaning all over and my r's quit looking like n's. I took a before page and an after page and showed my sister, and she said it looked like two different people wrote them. It's weird because nothing about my pen changed, I used the same cheap ballpoint the whole time. I think it was just slowing down and not rushing the loops. Now I'm wondering if this works for everyone or if some people are just stuck with bad handwriting no matter what. Has anyone else tried fixing their writing on purpose like this?
