My tripod fell over during the Perseids and I got 47 blurry shots of my neighbor's porch light
Spent 2 hours in the backyard in Fort Worth last Tuesday trying to stack meteor frames and a gust knocked the whole rig into the grass. Now I've got a memory card full of porch light streaks and one very smug cat who watched it happen. Do I just buy a sandbag or is there a smarter way to anchor this thing?
Did you ever try just hanging your bag from the center hook under the tripod? I used to laugh at that trick until a windy night in Dallas cost me a whole shoot, now I clip my camera bag on every single time.
