Back in March I was doing a bumper respray on a 2019 Tacoma and this older painter named Ray at a shop over on Blackstone told me sealer was a waste of money on plastic bumpers. I listened to him and skipped it, just scuffed and sprayed base right over the old finish. Five months later the paint lifted around the edges and the customer brought it back mad. Now I always run sealer no matter what, so what do you guys do on plastic bumpers, sealer or no sealer?
